Questions and contraindications before BAC

Non-invasive does not mean automatically suitable for everyone. Acute illness and neurological history should be discussed first.

Tell the specialist about

  • epilepsy or any previous seizure
  • acute infection or high fever
  • recent head injury, stroke, heart attack or surgery
  • an acute psychiatric state or altered consciousness
  • bleeding or new acute neurological symptoms

Why an individual decision matters

Manufacturer documentation lists several acute conditions as contraindications and epilepsy as requiring particular caution. The decision should reflect medical history, current condition and, when needed, the treating clinician's advice.

Symptoms requiring urgent care

A first seizure, loss of consciousness, signs of paralysis, a sudden extremely severe headache or deterioration after injury require urgent medical assessment rather than a planned session.
